Yeah, It's Been a While

I can't get to the computer very often, too many monkeys in the way!

My bird count has been brought to four with the addition of a starling. An acquantence of mine is retiring from her pet shop, and decided she needed to make room in her aviary now that all her "store mascot" birds will be home. Along with a Moluccan cockatoo and three macaws, she has a house sparrow, a cedar waxwing and a bush tit. Those are just the ones I know about; she has a bigger menagerie when you include all the non-bird critters and birds she hasn't mentioned to me. The starling is an unreleasable adult male with permanent wing damage. He's settling in pretty well.

The kids and I went to watch fireworks last night with some my Evil BFF (Best Friend Forever), her ex-husband the Overlord, and the Trot from Sweden, who Evil BFF flew into town so we could meet him. Before we went to the fireworks, we put a red bra on a giant statue of Lenin. Beloved Youngest was so jacked-up with excitement at the fireworks that he literally danced around through the whole show.
